Days 1, 2, and 3?
Whoa!! Major jet lag! I'm not entirely sure what day it is, but I do know it's about 1am in Hong Kong and Ann and I are waiting for our connecting flight to Phuket. The flight here, though long as a mother, was surprisingly good. Great airline, (Cathay), good food, very nice staff, so at least no complaints from that end. But 15 1/2 hours on a plane is borderline insanity. I recommend an upgrade to Business Class at a minimum for anything over 10 hours, note to self for any future excursions. So we arrived in Hong Kong at around 8pm their time, and decided to snag a hotel room just outside the airport to attempt to sleep a few hours before our 9am flight to Phuket in the morning. As you can see, so far that plan is working out perfectly! We had a really good dinner though at a rice/noodle shop at the airport. I believe Ann took a picture of it so we'll post that soon. Very good fried rice with chicken and salted oysters or something like that. And a very interesting cup of hot tea. So at this point we are dying for showers and a "normal" nights' sleep. The flight from here to Phuket is only a bit over 3 hours, so that will seem like a cakewalk compared to what we just sat through. Our butts may never be the same....
